Membership
The Melplash Agricultural Society was established in 1847. It is a registered charity with the aim of promoting agriculture, horticulture, forestry, rural crafts and skills and also educating the public in these areas. As well as the annual Show, the Society runs an annual Hedging and Ploughing match and actively promotes local farming and produce throughout the year.
MEMBERSHIP OF THE SOCIETY
Membership is open to anyone who would like to support the Society. The three categories of membership are:
Vice Presidents
£30 per annum or Double Vice Presidents [Husband & Wife] £50 per annum
As a Vice President you will not only support the Society but will be able to enjoy the following benefits:
- Ticket to the Show and entry to the Members’ Marquee
- Permission to take two guests into the Members’ Marquee for which a charge will be made of £15 per person
- Free Show Programme
- Unlimited number of entries to show classes at subscriber rates
- Privileged parking and the option to reserve VP parking near to the Members’ Marquee at an additional cost per vehicle.

Members
£25 per annum or Double Member [husband & wife] £40 per annum
As a Member you will not only support the Society but will be able to enjoy the following benefits:
- Ticket to the Show and entry to the Members’ Marquee
- Permission to take one guest into the Members’ Marquee, for which a charge will be made of £15 per person
- Privileged parking
- Free Show Programme
- Four entires to classes at subscriber rates
Reduced Subscription Member open to members aged between 16 and 25 years old.
£12.50 per annum
As a Member you will not only support the Society but will be able to enjoy the following benefits
- Ticket for the Show and entry to the Members’ Marquee
- Free Show Programme
- Four entries to classes at subscriber rates
